What are some things to check for when its running on 2?
I know its not the coils, I switched them, and the same 2 ran.

Thanks

Did you check the plugs?  Fouled plugs could be the cause.

If it's 1&4 or 2&3, one set of points or condenser or connectors along the way.

If it's 1&2 or 3&4, one set of carbs not getting gas.

Oh, yeah....  sometimes I forget that motorcycles other than 4's exist.

75 cb750.

I'll check the plugs first thing tomorrow.

It backfires on the two that aren't running, so I think it might be running lean.
I'm also going to check the seal of the carb boots, and the air screw.

Thanks for the help so far guys.

make sure to check those damn points, too :) I can't count the number of times I've been bit by points.

Make sure the plug wires aren't reversed for those cylinders.  Which 2 aren't firing?

Backfiring? I would look at timing or ignition problems.
