Topic: 1978 cb550 and 1978 cb750 seats

I'm trying to find a newer seat for my 78 CB550 and they are impossible to find, I was looking at the parts fiches and saw that the 78 750 and 78 550 seats look identical although the part numbers are different..has anyone put a 78 cb750 seat on the 78 cb550?

I have both bikes and have looked at the seats.  The seat pans are different: hinge locations and size.
