Well, Sunday is here. So much to do today and then there is Tomorrow!

It's really something, you spend a little over 38 years with the "Love of Your Life" and in a few minutes, she's gone. Then just a few days later, she's buried. :'(  Only the material things and "ALL Those Memories" Are Left.

I shouldn't have started this until this evening, when had more time, so I'm going to go ahead and post it and cme back later and finish it. So, if you all don't mind, come back and check this post that I want to create in remembrance of Brenda.

Have to get on with things, so I can get my Dad and Karla to Church.

Whoa- that's NOT Brenda getting buried.  Where she lived for a while is, but Brenda is in a great place and feeling fine.   Don't take my word for it- ask her yourself.

Anyway- I doo all the cooking and I'm boring myself.  Tough to be on a tight budget, too.
When you're up to it, I'd like a couple recipes/ideas about what you rustle up for dinner.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

Oh, Bill. I've been away from the boards for quite a while and this is not the kind of thing I was hoping to find when I logged on today. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make everything ok. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bill, I heard this lovely song recently and thought I might share it with you.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Your Long Journey

God's given us years of happiness here
Now we must part
And as the angels come and call for you
The pains of grief tug at my heart

Oh my darling
My darling
My heart breaks as you take your long journey

Oh the days will be empty
The nights so long without you my love
And when God calls for you I'm left alone
But we will meet in heaven above

Oh my darling
My darling
My heart breaks as you take your long journey

Fond memories i'll keep of happy ways
That on earth we trod
And when I come we will walk hand in hand
As one in Heaven in the family of God

Oh my darling
My darling
My heart breaks as you take your long journey

Manny, sadly, our road runners are long gone and have been for some time now. We sold mine just after we got married because we didn't think that we could handle both car payments. It wasn't until later on that we realized that if we'd just have tightened our belts some, we could have made it. We had her's until around 1987 or so and it had been down for about 5 years and we sold it because things were tight financially. We just couldn't afford to keep a car like that in shape, and take care of a child with lots of medical bills too. Sold that one for $800. Of course, Karla came first, she was an epileptic and we were getting no assistance with her bills or such. We just did what we had to do. There ARE times that I have thought how cool it would have been, if we could have still had those 2 cars (in great shape) after all this time, but that was just a dream and Karla's health was a reality.

BTW, we had the viewing and visitation for Brenda today and it was "touch and go" for me.

Thanks for the thoughts  though. ;)

Lee, I am so embarrassed to say that I hadn't even realized that you hadn't responded and that I hadn't sent you a message or something. :-[  Buddy, I wish you had that magic wand also. I keep expecting to wake up and find that it didn't really happen...............
....But, it has! :( :'(

The only step to go through now, is the Funeral itself. :-\

Each part of this has been something that I would rather not have faced AND Tomorrow isn't going to be any easier.

Bill stay strong, and try to get through this trying time. A big hurdles awaits you, and then it will change a bit, but still a very long tough road ahead.

I wish you the best in this time,  and hope you can find the strength you will need.

You have a lot of people on here that are looking out for you and care.. hope that is helping somewhat..

Still praying here. The big Payday is coming for all that have Christ in they're heart of hearts. That being said youll be running stoplight to stoplights forever side by side. Forever.......>

I love you Bill.

+5 We all love you Bill

Amen to that, folks.

Whoa....Im soo sorry for your Loss Bill...It was just this morning on the way home from a shift i made a comment to my coworker about the Integras horn sounding a lot like an RR horn......You have endured a lot this past year and a half and have shown all of us that you are a strong person even in times of need. Now it is your turn to depend upon the strength of your Family here bro...these past 13 pages have proven there is plenty of it for you to rely upon in this time of need...

With that said i would like to share a verse that i always fall back on in times like this..

Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Once this post has been posted i too will take to knee and pray for you man...

Chris, Thank you very much for that and I know that the Lord won't put more on you than you can handle. This is, I'm not sure if he's thinking about someone else or if he decided to push it to my limit because, I'm SO close.  It Hurts man, it REALLY hurts and I am so thankful that I am a Christian, that I have ALL of you all's support, as well as the support of our friends and family here.

BTW, I forgot to tell this, but Saturday morning, I woke up in my recliner and looked at Brenda's chair to see our big Calico "Molly" sitting on the left armrest and our other (mostly Mine) big black cat
"Joy" sitting on the right armrest. That was such an AWESOME sight and the thing is, they don't EVEN like each other! ::) It's like they called a brief truce, for Brenda. :o

Well, here it is 4:05AM and I'm still up. Oh, I tried going to sleep, but am too keyed up about the funeral and that Brenda will be buried and completely out of my sight. It just doesn't seem like it should be happening. And yet, every now and then, in my mind, I see how she was in those last moments just before I called 911 and that is haunting me. I'm 62yrs old and I have never seen someone die, much less someone as important to me as my Wife. And I don't think I'll EVER forget that.

BTW, Karla has a counselor that she was already seeing and we Karla, me, Sarah/ Karla's worker and James/ the young man that I work with) went to see her on Friday (the 3rd of July) and I think I am going to see her for a few sessions myself (the counselor had already said that it would be fine). Sure couldn't hurt.

Good call on the counselling Bill, I've used them myself in rough spots of my life and they really do help a lot.
I've visited your Brenda's memorial site, what a great idea, something us Kiwis could learn from.
Left a message for Brenda........warm thoughts across the waters mate warm thoughts...Hush. :)

Bill,
So very sorry to hear of your loss. The hurt must be severe, but I hope you reflect on all the good times you had together during the years.

Take care and God bless!

Appreciate it Mike! We just got home a few minutes ago and I barely made it through the funeral, but it was touch and go. :( I broke a few times and had trouble getting it together after the Church part was over and they were getting ready to close the coffin. I knew yesterday and today would be really hard and it was. Karla has held up like a Rock and taken care of things like you wouldn't believe. Now, about a week from now, I expect that she'll have the problem.

Yeah, I've already been sharing some of those times, like I have here. She was truly a very special person.
