How do you disconnect throttle cables from the grips?

Stupid question I know, but I can't figure it out. And yes i've searched.

You have the release the other end of the cables first, to gain enough slack.  One cable has a syop nut to remove.  Then you can unscrew the other from the housing.

I loosen the cables on my CB750 at the carbs, you will need to disconnect the fuel lines and take the tank off to loosen the cables before you will have enough slack at the grip end. The housing wll have three body screws, undo these and the housing pulls apart. You should be able to unhook the cables from the throttle tube assembly (at the grip) at this point, if I remember correctly.
