carb cleaning underway and weird emulsifier tube finding
« on: July 28, 2009, 09:14:42 AM »
Picked up a another rack of carbs a while back and am finally getting to cleaning them.  Carb 1 had a post broken off and while seemingly reafixed well, I used a carb form a parts rack I have.  One thing I did notice is the differences in emulsifer tubes.  This set has 5 vertical holes with one more near the top.  My other set had 5 vertical holes with another set of two more near the middle...  weird..

Do they appear to be exactly the same size and machine like quality of the other holes, or could it be that someone drilled a couple extra holes in them to try and gain a frothier emulsion?

I'm not sure of the stock setup, but I know some folks have talked about drilling them out.
