Front Brake Pad Drag
« on: August 30, 2009, 11:24:23 AM »
The front brake pads on my '78 CB550 are dragging slightly. Just enough that it is difficult for me to pull the bike backwards and the rotor becomes extremely hot after a trip around the block.
Can I make an adjustment to free the pads up a bit without having to totally bleed the system.
Thanks.

Probably not.
There is a front caliper rebuild walk though in the FAQ.

But, if the master isn't reliving the system pressure, then make sure the tiny hole at the bottom to the fluid reservior is clear.
