I went the path of east resistance. I called Z1 told him the year and model and a couple days later a box arrived with all the bearings I needed in the box, like $25.00.

Here's a wheel bearing puller I made for the 750 from a concrete anchor. It's 5/8" OD (originally) - made for a 1/2" bolt. I ground it down until it juuuust fit inside the bearing, then whacked the setting pin using a punch. Then from the other side of the wheel, put a punch on the outer rim of the anchor and hammered it out. Once the first one is out, the other one is easy. The picture shows a virgin anchor on the left and a 'customized' one on the right.

Rear wheel on....waiting for parts for the front

Changing from a 17" rear to an 18" makes alot of difference

Just goign out on my first "real" ride in afew minutes, Ortega...but so far; my first gear seems faster and able to go faster in it...the ride hight is noticeably higher...like really noticeably, I was surprised...overall it feel smoother somehow? ANd...I think it looks pretty sweet too...can't wait to get the front on

Here's a simple tool I made from mild steel plate for refitting the retainer.  When the retainer is back in, I restaked mine with a centre punch in 4 places.
