Top gear rollon is actually everyday very useable stuff, if you ride on the road.. you use it everytime you pass..

 I like using it as an example when people dont understand why HD and Beemer twins are still so popular.. Riders of high revving fours often miss how much they would be using mid range pulling power if they had a lot more of it.

 But if they never experienced it, can be hard to understand or illustrate.. ever wonder why the newer Goldwings now have so much torque?

i would say shift at 9000 rpm all day. your not even getting to peak hp. just because tq falls off a little don't back off. you still have power being gained from perpetual moition from 8500 to about 9300 approx. you will see when you ride it! 8)

i do ride it, and i know how it feels. actually, i don't have a tach, so i just shift when i can feel the power drop off, but sometimes that's pretty close to my rev limiter (10,500), so i can tell about where i am anyway. the power available in that range is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
