The articles title "What would Japan do?" does not make sense.  I thought this was going to be a thought provoking article about competition, styling and marketing between the motorcycle manufacturers.  Not an add for a particular bike.

Hi Group
I only got as far as the Japanese draining the life blood out of the British motorcycle industry. What Life Blood? I own a Matchless and an English Panther, I also own a Taiwanese made Panther, Both makes were barely alive when the Black Bomber was introduced.
