Saw, I was the first one to post about Simple Green. I have been following this and I had a slight issue with mine. What I admire is your tenacity, which seems to be a trait common to those people who get the best results in restoring their bikes to good running condition.

Nice work in the repair pics Jim!  I welded one for a friend with my Synchrowave 300.... That was "fun".  I was using a WP300 weldcraft liquid-cooled torch.  I like your method better   ;)

The neat thing about the laser system is that it dosent put a lot of heat in to the parts
but gives you a strong weld. This is what I use on my customers injection molds when heat is a big concern
