This is it!... my one remaining post to transform me from a senior member to one of the geezers. it's interesting that it occurs during my 29th year... granted 29 may not be senior nor is 30 an old timer but! i'm getting older and thank you... all of you... for helping me there (or pushing me

so, this is your time all you geezers... this is your thread... give us your knowledge you wise one. because, only you are allowed on this thread! all others will be banned... haha! glenn? qualms?

anyway, i'd like to thank all of you for the knowlede, humor, and time-killing elements that you have added to my life for the past many months. you are all friends in your own right.

We're generally known as "Old Gits" over here. "Old Timer" is so of quaint and puts one in mind of the old guys in the westerns.

An "Old Gits Bike Club" (depending upon where you are) can make for an interesting acronym.

It's about time all you children in your 50's and 60's showed a bit of respect to us old timers. I was 47 when my CB400f was made, and that is me in my avatar in 1986 when I was 57 yrs old.

Over here we have the Ulysses club, very big in Oz, (and at least one branch in NZ, I think) you can't be a full member until you're 50, but you can join at 40 as a junior member and are expected to help the old guys on and off their bikes etc. interestingly there's a good spread of bikes, lots of harleys of course (the old fellers choice with a low seat and 'relaxed' ergonomics) but there are plenty of sports bikes too, I've been meaning to join, they ride to a cafe every Saturday morning to meet over coffee and then ride a couple of hundred miles, sometimes further if guy who organised the ride is suffering from alzheimers, ha ha! Ok so we have old timers, what about those of use with over 1000 posts??? I mean old timer starts at 500. There should be something more once you hit 1000. how about older than dirt? Or 'you make a dinosaur look young? Then when you hit 1500 it could be something like....you've been re-incarnated HOW MANY times?

Master - 1000 posts
Chairman - 2000 posts

Best I can think of at the moment. I'm sure if we put our collective minds to it, we could come up with better groups based on post counts. Suggest away...
