Newbie in the UK
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:35:22 PM »
Hi all.

I bought my first Honda Four back in 1978.It was a CB550F1 and I loved it...the power, the handling,
the way the bike looked. It was a lovely orange colour and it suited me just fine.My girlfriend liked it as well.

Unfortunately that bike was stolen from outside my flat.So I bought a CB750F2.But after going to the Isle of Man races in 1980 it seemed like every body else had one as well.

I'll dig out my photo albums of yesteryear and put them up on here for you all to look at.I hope you enjoy.

Just found this in my photobucket account so it is ideal for showing you all my CB750F2.

Hi mate,  welcome aboard. Are those CMA wheels on that F2 ? I've got a pair for my K7 project - pure dead 70s.

They are indeed CMA wheels. At first they were standard size wheels, but because of the tyres that were better in the 18" sizes I bought a 2.75x18 front and a 4.50x18 rear. These were the same sizes as the GSXR1100J that my brother had. This made it possible to run Metzeler CompK tyres.

But this is how the bike ended up after a head on with a car down an unlit back road.

What a way to go.
