I've been cruising the forum for answers and advice but this is my 1st post. I bought this bike in may for $300 it had been sitting in my buddys garage for about 4 years never started,  it took me most of the summer to get it cleaned up and running - the #1 carb had nasty green slime all inside it, it seems to be running pretty good except for a little smoke from the #1 cylinder, and issues with the rear running lights, not sure exactly whats causing that yet.
Well I got the bike down in the basement for the winter and plan to: get a 4 into 1 exhaust, clean up all the wiring, remove the rear fender, get drag or clubman bars and get pod air filters for a cleaner cafe look.  I am a little worried about matching the jets to the filters and exhaust but I will worry about that when I get to it.
Here some pics so far:

I got the exhaust off - on further inspection theres a few rust holes near the back.

I plan to post all the progress up here over the winter!!!!

Those exhausts would sell easily.
Watch out for flat drag bars denting the tank if you don't modify the lock stops.

Looks too nice to modify...IMHO

I wouldnt be afraid to modify thats what its all about in my opinion making it your own.Matt good find it looks to be a great bike to start with. I paid $900 for mine and it was all beat up but it ran great so I chopped it haha
