I don't know if anyone has stumbled across this or posted it before, but it's pretty damn interesting if you don't already know.

Nice info...if it is indeed unbiased? I have the EK o-ring on the KO & K1. I think I may give the RK 530 x-ring a try on the K4 since it needs a new chain. Nah, think I will just stay with the EK.

Interesting. I still have some doubts on some statements since this is from a chain supplier and not an independent info source.

Ya... can we say COMMERCIAL!?

The truth would not relate to brands.
Brand has nothing to do with the truth.
Please refer to Democrat vs. Republican... whoops!  wrong thread.   ;D

man, these bike don't make enough TQ or HP to need a super expensive chain. especially for street use.  Any 530 Oring from a reputable manufacturer will do more than enough.  rk, regina, did, etc etc.  Chain technology has come so far since these bikes were built.

I always question people who cast doubt on engineered products.  Granted, there are some idiot engineers out there, but after working as an engineer for eight years, I can say that an awful lot of field testing, product knowledge, and analysis go into every design.  If an "improved" chain comes out, then I'm going to assume there is some element of truth to the claim.

Cameltoe... oops, Camelman  ;D... are you implying that we are casting doubt, or that the article is casting doubt?
Because, both are happening.

So we're to believe that because something was "engineered" and claimed by the manufacturer or retailer to be better than somebody else's product, that it must be better?  Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

I'm quite impressed with the "how to lube your chain" explanation but you had to read all that other stuff to get to that and I'd say most people gave up after a page or so. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
