my favourite guitar is the sparkly blue one in my last reply. it's a 1998 Danelectro Hodad. lipstick pickups with coil tap and coil splitting on the tone pots. killer surf sound.

Something else that does my heart good is to pick up on a GOOD DEAL on some parts for my Super Hawk. AND just last night, I picked up on ALL of the internals of a Super Hawk head (including the camshaft) for $31.00. AND, TO ME, that's an awesome deal! :o Cause, I have an good head off of a CL77, but you have to have a CB cam, to be able to use a Tach and NOW, I have one of those! COOL! ;D Takes my mind off of the weather for a bit. :D    I FEEL GOOD! (by James Brown  :D )

Bill,
Hopefully today I'm going to pick up a 1982 750SC I bought. It and a 1981 750K I got just before Christmas will mate to form a mutant one or two steps further than the 900C from last year. Got the second Christmas feeling happening!

***SHAMELESS PLUG*** Need a left hand sidecase for a 1982/83 750 Nighthawk. Anyone got one, know of one?

Nice trains KSLRR, your boys twins or just close in age?
Drat, seeing those Peavy amps reminds me I sold my Peavy Raptor, couldn't play it for crap but liked to dig it out every now and then just to annoy the neighbours and scare the cat. ;D

The 2 boys with facial hair are my twins,  The one with the snorkel is my wife's son, and then we had a girl of our own.  The other 2 boys are mine also.

I've always liked and used Peavy amps.  Had a Peavy T60 guitar once.  Neat sound but heavy.

...kslrr, those n scale trains? the wife and i mess with those a little too, i still havent gotten the layout tables built though. and the 3 extra switches on that strat pickguard............what are they for? i'm slways looking for new ideas for the electrics on my frankenstrat.

Those engines are HO and just the diesel fleat.  I also have 10 steam engines (at least).  I also work in N scale since my boys prefer that.  Here's a couple pics of the in progress layout

The switches on my Strat (a kit from ebay with mods and upgrades) are left to right: Volume Normal/Lead, Center Pickup In/Out phase, Tone Normal/Lead.  There is one Volume, One Tone and the original Tone now is a Fade In/Out for the Bridge Pickup.  So, in Switch positions 2 or 4 I can have all 3 Pickups.  I can send you the schematic if you are interested.  What the last pic shows is how I routed out the body so that the bridge is flat, giving me a greater tremelo range.  I also installed a Fender LSR Roller Ball Top Nut which inproves tunning retention while using the Tremelo.

Since older muscle cars are out of my price range. I like everthing stock. Im nuts over these rare and overlooked 90-91 Olds Cutlass Convertibles. Some day theyll appreciate. They only made 2K of them those years. 50 in 88. I also am a huge fan of anything that uses gunpowder. This is our 91.

Wife, daughter, grand daughter.  Then the BSA and 66 Superhawk and the 77 Monte Carlo.  Wife and daughter like car shows, motorcycle shows, going riding. 1 year old grand daughter is learning to.  I always get a laugh when some guy says the only way my wife (or girlfriend) would come to a show is if there was a shopping mall across the street.   ;D

Good on ya Tipper, I presume that is the rack balanced on the carry box of the brown Yamaha, big bike for a lady rider! ;D
Those FJR1300's are soooo damn sleek looking eh.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

The train stuff is cool.
I have a closet full of H.O. stuff that was my dad's. He always talked about some Bigboy engines he has. Never seen them but I think he had 2 for sure but maybe 3. Most stuff is in original boxes also.
I bet to a collector 20,000 worth.
Maybe one day go through it and set something up.

Okay, so far all of my distractions have been mentioned.  The reason I've only now posted is because I have a problem.  A distraction I have that has not been mentioned is forums.  Let me put it another way.

Hi.  My name is Stan (crowd-"Hi Stan"), and I am addicted to forums. I haven't been here much, as I have been spending time in a
Wooden Boat forum.
It is a forum that, say Ironbutter might be interested in?

My distractions;

Bikes (obviously)
Wooden boats(don't have one yet, but I volunteer in a shop(see signature) and will build one some day)
Woodworking (sorta goes with the previous entry)
Model trains (HO and G scale)
Guitars (although I'm more into acoustic than electric)
Cars (although more like vans. Astro van is custom rigged for camping.)

The problem with having so many interests is that there is not enough time to do one completely.
Go metric, every inch of the way!
