I don't have any experience with a 4 into 2 Jardine, but I've been running a 4 into 1 Jardine on my 750F since 1995.  It has given good service.  Not too loud.  It's louder than stock, and sounds better.  But not objectionable in the least.

Jardine was a pretty big company back in the day. theyre of a pretty high quality too. i have a set of Jardine 4 into 2 for a cb750.

Jardine are still alive and kicking mate, and are certainly up there with the better systems like Kerker etc. I just bought a new Jardine "Big Boss" system for my new Triumph Rocket III, and was pretty stoked that I only paid 950 bucks plus shipping, the recommended retail is around $1250.00, so it's definitely not in the "Mac" class. Looks like you did well! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey, talking about cheap, how are you Juha? (just kidding) ;D

Hey Sammy, looks like you got a bargain mate, I think I've got one of those V&H pipes lying around here, it came off my Suzuki GS1000 based drag bike, that thing was pumping out 140 BHP at the back wheel and did the 1/4 at Townsville dragway in 9.4 seconds, what a beast!

I pulled the engine out and put it in a 1978 GS1000E frame, and it was scary fast, but I sold it to a bloke in England, and I think he's still riding it? BTW, that Jardine pipe I bought retails for a shade over 2200 bucks here in Oz, so 950 US plus another 140 for airmail via USPS was a bargain! ;D

That is cheap Sammy, I'm surprised they can sell them that cheap and make a profit? I like their "4 into 2 into 1" system, I'd dump that poxy baffle and get the whole thing ceramic coated "brushed chrome", but otherwise, that'd be a top pipe, I reckon? ;D

In the day, Jardine had a 4-1 for the sport bike guys and the 4-2 for the cruiser crowd. Top notch. Several years ago i did a search on Jardine (pre-Google) and found they were making performance exhausts for RVs, only. I found a chat room somewhere that said the original Jardine operation was bot out (an offer they could not refuse) by someone, likely Kerker had a hand in it, and the operation for motorcycles was closed to eliminate the very aggressive competition. Jardine had a covenant to not compete, hence the RV exhausts. (just heresay, not confirmed, but makes a good story)

That covenant must have expired as Terry says they are back in business, and in a big way. Do a Google on Jardine exhausts now. They are everywhere and for everything.

I have a Jardine 4-2 on my CB350F, and I love the way it sounds.  It makes it sound like a much larger bike.  It gives a nice rumble without being annoyingly loud.

As long as you don't intend to "Canyon Race" your bike the sidewinder should be OK mate, but if you like leaning around corners, forget it. The headers hang out further than the points cover and will touch down at very moderate lean angles, it's kinda like having a side stand on both sides...........  ;D

I saw a post about ground clearance issues, and I have to agree.  Granted, my set is from the 70s, so a new set might have a different design, but I drag mine pretty easily.  It is so easy to drag them that I will be switching to a different exhaust.  I'm on a 350F, but it would be a point to consider if you plan on riding hard in the twisties.
