how do you get these off (head)

Heated up my head in the oven, put the socket on it with the breakerbar and no go, I swear I read that you can remove these or did I just dream that I read that somewhere

Heat the individual spigots with MAPP. There is no guarantee that you will not gall the threads BUT I've done many of them

What the hell is Mapp, Mothers againest people porting ;D ;D... no I need to get the off so I can have better access to the ports,  so I can clean them up, for some reason I have strange swirl marks in a couple of the chambers, there are hard to describe, but I know they are not factory, allmost like wear groves ??? I will try and get a decent pic and post it.

Unless one is broken I would advise not trying to take these out. If you screw one up be advised that all years are not the same. You can only guess how I know this. Dan

MAPP gas is a hotter version of Propane. Available at the hardware in the same size screw on tanks as propane, like for sweating plumbing pipes. Which is what i use it for. Gets the copper hotter quicker.

I agree with the guys that recommend not removing them.

If you need better access, perhaps you should rethink which tools you are using.

 I use 4" bits but they are 1/4" shank. They will work in a die grinder (electric or air). I have a Foredom and a Dremel that I use. The foot speed controls allow for great cutting control.

I would perfer not having to not remove them, I will go pick up some longer shanks for my polishing kit and maybe a foot controlled dremmel.. Thanks for the info, all
