If you're thinking of it AND willing to spend the money for it they are great...I have one. If you want cheaper there are other options but IMO this is one tool where new tech outdoes old.

I would say: on the contrary: with that price buy one only if you can share the expense with at least two other users. Otherwise make your own. Search in this forum for homemade manometer, read it, build it and have the satisfaction you've made something good for a couple of bucks.
You can also benchsync. I can sync my carbs within 2 cm Hg by moving an allen key under the slides and 2 cm Hg is well within specs. But first of all: ask yourself if your carbs need to be synced at all. Except for the first 750's that had cables, all Fours have a cam that operates the carbs simultanously. Unless the PO messed with the adjusting screws (how likely is that?), there's no need to suspect your carbs to be out of sync.

Buy it mate, the carbs weren't synched that well out of the factory, and if anyone in the last 30-40 years has rebuilt the carbs and changed out the needles they will have removed and refitted the slides, so they'll need to be resynched, and it's dead easy with a tool as good as the Morgan. I bought mine 10 years ago, and I've used it on several bikes since, and it sh1ts all over any other vacuum guage I've used over the last 30-odd years. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry, you have a gift. I wouldn't be surprised if this shows up in Morgan marketing materials.

Also recommend the Morgan carb tool. Bought with a couple of friends and it has been used on loads of bikes since.

Good investment if you are going to be messing with carburated bikes.

Buy it if you want quality and reliablilty that will last. If you don't, buy the others. I have had my Morgan since 1999 and it has never failed me. You will get what you pay for with the Morgan.
