Honda Part numbers for rebuild kits. Where can we find them?
« on: January 10, 2006, 03:28:42 AM »
If you have your bike's part's manual you will find the part manual of each single part, be it a bolt, nut, gasket or float bowl. You will find also the part number for a complete assembly, like a carburator.

But there are Honda part numbers for rebuild kits, like the part number for the brake master cylinder rebuild kit, or another one for a full set of top end gaskets. That way you don't have to buy the individual items and you save money too.

Where is that information available? Is there a document per model, or a document with all the part numbers and the bike models that apply?

Try out www.servicehonda.com. They have a part lookup program(works on PC with IE only).  From there, you can browse diagrams/exploded views for your model, and it has lists of kits as well as available parts.  It might not have everything you need, but it's been pretty detailed for everything I've searched for.  For example, just yesterday I looked up a rear Master Rebuild kit for my 77 CB750F.  It had all of the individual parts, as well as a kit for the whole rebuild.

But that's the scanned part's manual. You won't find the kit's part numbers there...   Maybe somebody who have worked as a Honda mech can shed some light...

This is a great site for the engine parts, part numbers and exploded diagrams of the engine.
