When they pulled out the red and white honda it had a tail light and a license plate on it. I asked, and they said they were all street bikes at home!!

Hey, I might make it also!  Just got word that my cylinder head guy might be going to run a couple of GS750/1000 based superbikes  in AHRMA events early in week, so it is my turn to go help him.

Let's make some plans....

Mark,
Would that be Mr. Jerry? That SBK class sure has taken off since you were last there!! Even without the contingent from Japan.  Will you be bringing a machine or just crew chief for Jerry?

Yet another reason to go. Really love these old superbikes, less plastic and more muscle! And weld that extra tubing to keep them on the track!
Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

it was on the list for me but once again, money has gotten in the way, or lack of money has gotten in the way

JERK!!!! ;D...... fine... if you wanna be that way... ill ride it to daytona.....  ;D

My fiance may be taking her bike down there with me this year... which if that is the case.... a 2 hour ride behind an eliminator 125 wrapped up and maxed out at 55 will make for a really boring ride..... if she decides to not take her bike, I will just throw the ramp in the back of the truck and head out on the bike.

I rode it there for biketoberfest last year without a seat... 2 hours on frames rails and a battery isn't all that fun.... When i finally got to biketoberfest, I went straight to the first swap meet I could find and bought a harley backrest and used clear packaging tape to hold it on the bike.... I am trying to knock out a seat before i leave this time around...

I think we need to get a list going of people that are for sure going. I would like to meet up with some of the people here and put faces with names.

started up a new thread to see if there was anyone else interested in going to Daytona and to see if there was any interest in getting a group of forum members to do a quick meet and greet or anything.... I would like to meet up with some of the people from this forum and put some names with faces if I can.

Post up and and let me know when you are going to be up there and if you want to meet up....

Sorry, but I am not going to make it to Daytona...I even had a free ride... if I helped drive. My son who is my machinist, fabricator and welder dislocated his shoulder and I am way behind in shop, so business and family come first. I will be at Road America in June and Barber in Oct...if anyone plans to attend. Let's get together.

Hey Mark, all the best to you and your son, like midnight says "family first". A shame I cannot meet up with you.
