1977 CB750 F1 vs. F2
« on: February 11, 2010, 10:14:23 AM »
I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have.  My bike originally looked like the F1 in the pictures.  I was buying stainless brake lines, and the package came with an extra line for an extra brake rotor.  Then I started looking at pictures on Google, and found what was supposed to be a '77 but with twin front rotors and comstar wheels.  Does anyone know if the first bike pictured is really a '76?  Or did the F2 come out halfway through the model year?  Or what?  And is there a definitive site somewhere that tracks the mods down through the years?  Any info appreciated.

and, uh, how do you insert images?

I can't see your images very well. But spoked wheels and single discs were 75 and 76. Comstars and dual discs were 77 and 78.

You may have a left over 76 that was titled in 77. The reference you seek does exist but I don't know where for sure. Likely on this site. Go to "website" button above and look for specs and models and things like that.
