How long I wonder
« on: January 12, 2006, 11:11:59 PM »
until the great American icon is being built in China and exported back to the homeland?   I'd love to see the "memorandum of understanding" the company has with Zonshen, i'm guessing there won't be much in it for the American worker.

There was a avatar like he said.  Only seen it once and dont remember whos it was.
This is a open thread though.
At least it is bike related and not political crap.
Had to be amused awhile back at the now gone crashes thread.  Warning up front but enough people went in looked #$%*ed and now its gone.

If you want to get people attention you just have to warn: "Warning: potentially offensive content". It attracts viewers like flies to the sh1t. I have to admit that the metane-propelled bike in toycollector10's avatar is not so pleasing to the eye; not because of the bike but because of that huge butt. Don't you have a nice chick ass instead???  :D

Once the Chinese get a taste of HD reliability, they may begin launching Nuks at us. As far as the Avatar offending. Dude, this is a forum for people who ride bikes and get their hands dirty, not the PTA!!!

Kinda hard to work on your bike when your mind's in the gutter, isn't it? As far as getting your hands dirty, I've worked on about evrything from 1.5kw generators up to the F4 Phantom  and the F106A Delta Dart and performed alert with both and did it in Japan, Korea and the U.S. I've also done some kind work on motorcycles since I was about 14yrs old. All I'm saying is I'm here to see all these great bikes, pick up what info & ideas I can (because no one knows it all) and share what I can when I can. This is a fantastic ste and it doesn't need the likes of us bickering about this. Late,  Bill

cbjunkie, all I'm trying to say is, I'm here because this is the best site on the web. Lots of great bikes, lots of great innovative guys w/ lots of experience and info. If no one seems to have an answer, someone seems to know where to get the answer. There are alot of web sites and I haven't seen one yet that's even close to being as good as this one.  That's all.   Bill

i'd be lost without this community. there are a few guys here in Saint Louis that care about these bikes, but they are few and far between - it has taken me about 2 years to get to know the ones i do know and it's a lot harder to get quality info out of them than it is to come here where we are all connected 24/7 and the accounts are always open for the polite and humble petitioner.

plus, i don't speak chinese...  ;)

junkie out.

My avatar is the forth one I've had in as many weeks. I will replace it when I find another image that 'the boys' might find funny or interesting.

I agree with Bill, this is a great forum. What actually oils it along is the humor and general piss-taking that goes on around the serious business of guys 'wrenching their bikes'.

We are all men in here, apart from Linda, so the base level of the humor is laddish.

I've served in the armed forces too, this place is a doddle compared to some of the horse manure I had to deal with there.
