CBJ--->
You have been a busy little CB'er haven't you ?  ;D
Tank looks great ! Will make the overall look of the bike very unique.
I can see where you are going with the seat, makes me think about what I want
to do to mine in a whole new light.

As for my bike progress goes , it is on hold for the momment.
Got myself a new job, and it is taking all the time I have trying to get
up to speed in a matter of no-time. Will pay off in the end , so it is worth it..

Got my 16'' HD wheel eariler this week , which I need to cleanup and inspect.
New gastank is waiting to be test-fit onto the bike , etc....
Still need to make a final decision on a seat, which is taking way too long to
figure out............ ::)

That bike is some "streetfighter" I saw on Ebay that I thought was pretty slick. I am actually
working a deal with a buddy of mine who has a old GSXR he wants to get rid of. If all works out,
I would like to make it look as close to my Avitar pic as possibile....

But, I allready have enough projects for the momment...
Still need to figure out a F*CKIN seat for my CB    ::) ::) ::)

Here's a SWEET bike that user ALANF sent me a pic of...
Anyone guess what rear fender he used ? The stock plastic inner fender seems
to be gone , and he used a 1 piece fender for the whole thing - - slick  ;D

ProTeal,
                      That is really one sharp looking bike, is there any way to get more pics and info on it?

BILL440------->
User ALANF actually emailed me the pics, so he would be the one to get more info from about that bike.
It is pretty slick. I actually ordered the exact same rear tire for my 16;; HD wheel, Avon GangsterWhite...
Still thinking about if I should run a thin whitewall up front or not..

I totally dig the rear fender setup on this bike. I would take that setup , and maybe cut it alittle higher to
show more of the rear tire. That would be trick. I am sure a sporster rear fender would be able to work for
something like this....

Maybe..........?

Still need to figure out a F*CKIN seat for my CB    ::) ::) ::)

I have a seat for a 550 missing a couple of support rubbers and with a tear in the cover. The pan is in excellent shape.
If it is to be it is up to me.

ProTeal,

         I totally agree on the rear fender. I picked up on an SL350 rear fender w/the inner fender and

    what I'm looking at is trying to fit that fender to give a bobbed flared out look. The thing I'm not

    sure about is whether to use part of another metal fender or the actual inner fender. I haven't

    tried to mount anything yet, I'm just trying to get all I can together to see where I stand and what

    I've got left to get yet. Later on, Bill

After looking at that bike more carefully, it looks as if the owner used the removed front
fender for the rear fender, and painted it black. I could be wrong, but the rolled edge of the
rear of the fender looks like the stock Front  fender...

Kinda makes me wish I didn't destroy mine trying to get the brace outta it  ::)

Yes.

Having a singal whitewall just looks wierd (personal opinion). I say go both.   ;D

too wide to be a front fender on anything. Maybe a stock rear fender painted black and dropped. There are tons of triumph aftermarket fenders that have that rolled edge and are rear fenders (most are chrome). It could also be that he took two cb750 rear fenders and welded them back to back to make one longer fender with a rolled edge, this wasn't uncommon in the old days.

if I was going to do a one piece rear fender this is what I would use:

chica's custom ribbed rear fender, real old bobber look. it may be a little pricey for a fender ($160+) but you pay for fashion. http://www.chicacustomcycles.com/chicasite/homeset.html

I run a trailer fender on my chop, covers 1/2 of the rear tire and starts at the bottom of the frame. Cost me $15.

this would make an awsome rear fender for someone's rat bike:

most of the v-twin catalogs sell fender blanks, not as expinsive as already done fenders but not cheap either.

GEETO67---->
I like the diamond plate idea , maybe for my next rat project...

I think I am going to search over Ebay and find a used HD Sporster fender, and see what I can
come up with using that fender, before I go and buy a "high dollar" one to mess up.
I need to figure out mounting and such, which would be perfect to do with a low dollar Ebay unit...

That Chica one is sweet though   ;D ;D
