           sadly, It's not someone as mainstream as that. cartoon network has a habit of using obscure musicians for their 5 second bumps.

I know, but someone has to recognize it.
    It's too distinct of a sound to be confused with any mainstream artist.

there's some singing from india, and that bass line thumps like an open to muted kick drum.

maybe I'll post it on adtunes.com

My DJ friend has an app on his phone that identifies whatever music is playing.  I'll find out what it is and send you the name of the app.  Find an I-phone or Ipod Touch and you may be able to identify this.  Try to loop the audio using your magic talents and you might have better luck.  Better yet, steal it, sample it, and write your own goddamn song.----

The iPod Touch doesn't have a microphone, so you'd need an iPhone.

Tried it.

It either doesn't recognize the music, or the clip is too short for it to get a lock.

just thought I'd mention...I used to work as a music composer and I have worked on quite a few projects for Cartoon Network over the years.  Liscensing music from known artists is costly and often times people pay to have someone rip off the style.  I think this is probably whats going on here.  I can tell you that if I paid $$$$$ for a big artist's track I'd want to use a lot more of it.  music equipment is so available and cheap nowadays that most 17 yr old kids could slap some samples together and spit out that track.

it sounds familiar; with the Indian singing and the sitar.
I'm sure there's a composer and a longer song out there.
