Russ told me a few years ago, that he still has it. Sitting down at his place with a broken crank in one of the engines.

Read on dragbike.com a while back (probabably in the old school thread) that Russ was approached with the offer to rebuild it for a Cacklefest piece.
The answer was NO.   :'(

Robbie, some of these old top fuelers could be got to run again, the problem is, are the riders up to it ;D ;D ;D

I have a mate who has one, he brings it out for the odd meeting but it never performs like it did in the 60s, smoking the rear tyre for the full quarter mile.
As you get older it's all about knowing your limits, that's why I will still be running in the teens (low ones I hope  ;D) with the 750 auto.
Yesterday, I received the latest copy of my clubs magazine, in it was an article about an event in the early 60s that another mate of mine took part in (he's still racing). Top fuel bikes were still in the 11s back then and just 8 years later, Mr Honda produced a bike that, with a little work would run with them, the CB750 had arrived. 8) 8) 8)

Not a bike but for refrence when I started going to the races in 63-64 the blown nitro injected fuelers were going low 8's at 180, now we go mid sevens at 180 on gas with a four barrel carb and a powerglide. How far we have come.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
If you love it, set it free, if it stays it's probably one of my 750's.

On the west coast, we were quicker. 6.0s at 210 in 64/65. I raced with some guys with a blown nitro big block Chevy top fuel. Our best ET was 7.35. Today that car would not be able to qualify in the pro stock motorcycle field.
