Topic: Help! 78 case fit 77f

I am building a 1977 cb750f and ran into a problem with the cylinder studs breaking.  The machine shop I took it to is having major difficulty removing the broken studs.

I have a line on 78 cb750 case, just the case.  Will my 77f parts fit in this case?  I have great 77f heads(rebuilt) and cylinders.

Black motor parts will exchange..........but, your are using both cases and may (will) need bearing shims to exchange the crank.

Thanks, I thought I would be ok.  Will I need bearing shims to match the crank out of the old (77f) case that go with the crank of shims to fit the new to me 78 case I will be putting my 77f crank in?

shims for the replacement cases.........they come in half sets so be sure to get the tops and the bottoms.  The color code is marked on the bottom case.

Thank you for all your help.  I was really stressing about this since I have already purchased all the pieces for my 77f cafe rebuild.
