You find a tire to fit your rim and you're guaranteed to find somebody here who will recommend it.

Take a look on americanmototire.com.  They have a broad range of tires and good pictures to go along with them to help you find one that has the look you want.

For modern tires, I've seen a number of guys using Kenda's or Maxxus. For my money, nothing better than Metzler. That said, I just put a set of Dunlop K70s on my 73 750.
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.

I'm using Metzlers, no complaints here. ;D

As long as you get the correct size and match the front and rear I'm sure your bike will be just fine with them.  Don't be tempted to go much larger than stock without also changing rime sizes because it pinches the sidewalls in and deforms the shape of the tire.

Damn, you guys are spoilt for tyres/prices... :(....We pay probably 50% more for some of those choices!

Regardless, I use Avon Roadriders. Perform well and look good to... :D

If you like riding twisty roads and leaning over, want stability in the rain or on grooved roads, decent mileage then get the Bridgestone BT-45s  - as shown on my K4 (old tire on the bike is a 120 -squared off). 110/90/19 on the rear. Important point is to match front/rear as Gordon already said.

BT-45s front/rear

This topic of tires has been covered so often it should be a FAQ or sticky.
