1969 4-1 Throttle Cable
« on: May 06, 2010, 06:33:31 PM »
Hello, everyone.
I have a later '69 750 and I am in need of the earlier 4 into 1 throttle cable. I have been searching around the site, but does anyone have a recommendation on where I can get a new one? All I seem to find are later single cables for the manifold type carbs.

This bike is a nightmare to source parts for.

Thanks.

You need the single cable that splits to four cables that attatch to the carbs?

I thought Honda still carried that part #17910-300-030.

There are least 2 versions, if the aftermarket made them, maybe more.
Early ones had thinner cables, may have been recalled..

Do you have any of it..? if you do you may be able to fix up what you have..

Unfortunately, I don't have the original throttle cable... only a piece of it. I had no idea it was so hard to come by and I stupidly cut one of the cables since it was frayed a bit and threw it away.
I would feel much better/safer with a new one instead of running a 40 year old cable.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I found it on Bike Bandit's site. Not cheap, but not 40 years old, either. I always look on eBay first, but they are always just as pricey as new from a trusted source like BB.
