I finally got some of my parts back from the powder coater and they look awesome!!!. however the spokes i got from parts n more do not fit the 75 cb750f wheels as the say. I found after lacing and tightening that they stick out into the tubes territory about on inch!!!! Im hoping that they will eat this screw up and refund all shipping and purchase cost since they sent me an uncompatible set the said was compatible. They look awesome spoked though and cant wait to get the proper spokes from buchannans. The parts that I am still waiting on to be coated should be done by wednesday. Here are some pics of what i currently have on the bike.

I made the mistake of ordering cheap spokes from partsnmore and found they were to long. I let them know and they refuned all my money and told me to keep them so if anyone needs spokes that are 1' longer let me know. im ordering new ones from buchannans 200 for the set arrrghhh

Looks good, sucks about the spokes.  I just ordered some spoke sets and Sun rims from buchanan's yesterday.  Did you lace and true the wheel yourself?  I am looking forward to lacing my first wheel.

So time to revive this thread and work on my bike. I have gotten back from Korea and I'm trying to figure out where to start back up. Thinking I'll give the electrics a shot now. i had installed my oil lines but found they were leaking :( at the seals. gonna have to check them again. I have some small work to do like finishing the wheels and attaching them to the forks. Then I also need to do the break system and the cabs. So the carbs.......the engine is a 72 till i can get my 75f rebuilt, so I  am tring to figure out how i can fit my 75 carbs on or if i have to use my 72 carb which im not sure are all there. would love to get some suggestions :)

That intake is pretty neat but it may be a bear to tune.

I know the spoke issue is old but are you sure you laced it right? Looks to me like you may not have enough angle on the spokes. More angle = takes up more spoke length.

The way I tried to figure out roughly what angle the spokes should be at was to put in all the spokes that are all angled in the same direction from one side. Rotate the hub as far as you can in one direction to maximize the angle. Now start lining up the spokes that go in the other direction and it will give you a better idea of which hole it should be going to.

Also, make sure you are running the spokes into the correct holes. They all have a certain angle which matches up to a specific spoke if done right.

Thats exactly what happened with my spokes lol in the pics they are correct but before i posted the pics i solved it by figuring out exactly what you said. i remember it being a little difficult.

I was wondering about that intake as well, it was only 36 bucks shipped so we'll see. Never tuned anything but Tweakin is very skilled and near by so Im sure well get together and figure it out if need be.

For now I am having to figure out the wiring since im running a 72 750 motor on my otherwise 75 750f. Im doing this just until i can get my F motor cleaned and rebuilt the way i want.

Glad to see you cleaned up the work space... ;)  It will really help when looking for parts as you build.

No doubt, still a ton to do as far as clean up. Ill probably be able to get more done this weekend while finishing the ultrasonic cleaning of my carbs.

Ordered SS Brake lines and a new master cylinder from Slingshot cycles they look great, but now Im having an issue with the front brake setup thanks to my lack of research  ::) Seems I have 77 lowers as the plan was for dual brakes, however i am running the 75-76 spoked wheel and the discs are different thicknesses and have 5 bolt rather than 6 bolt mounting >:(
On top of that my rear Master cylinder has rust welded the retaining clip to the housing not really sure how to get past that hurdle other than a grinder. Ive tried hitting it with a hammer and flathead to break it loose but no dice. Suggestions???
Also wanted to say thanks to Bill Benton for helping out with some final details, carbs and front brake crisis (still working on a solution for front brake as well.)
Finally i also installed hondaman's Ignition :) super excited to get this thing fired up!!!

Rear MC is sitting in carbdip in my ultra sonic tank and hopefully it will loosen up but I'm not to hopeful. I also rebuilt and installed my rear brake and brake line it's so close to rideable but not to close to done as I still have to start the engine rebuild. But since I was given a free working motor I figure I might as well ride :) here

Need to update the pictures, however i did end up going back to original front forks to keep original brakes. I found it too much of a fight trying to mix and match rotors to brake brackets. Also made an electrics tray using some 22g sheet metal.
Electrics consist of
this a123rc battery
This 3-phase rectifier
A 1970's Ford regulator you can learn about in This thread
and everything else is stock.

Seems I'm having a problem with the 1-3 spark wires as the timing light only lights up on the #4 wire :(
looks like I'm going to have to check coils but I'm not to sure how to do that as of now. google and youtube here i come!

Thanks man, I've been a little upset with the lack of research I did in the beginning as far as frame de-tabing and modification. I just jumped in and powder coated everything with no mock up .....oops. Now I'm wanting to add rear hoop with a flat seat and a removable rear cowl so I can ride 2 up. Also my oil tank, I wanted to do custom but was unsure of my abilities and now have good contacts and able teachers. I'm going to change it to a rear fender style oil tank. I also wanted to go with modern brakes and lightens aluminum rims. Looks like those things are good upgrades to look forward to with my engine :)

You could build another 750 that's beyond repair and save this one incase it ever wants to go back to stock
