in WA, if you take the MSF course, they test you for your endorsement at the end of the weekend. pass it an there's no more tests to take.....on your own bike if you have the permit to ride it to class and it passes the safety chk. you might just pick up a new skill in the class. you'll at least get a few days on a closed course on your bike.

When I took the MSF class in '96 (Indiana) if you passed they gave you a certificate that you take to the license branch, and they just give you the endorsement no test required.
