Imageshack isn't working for some reason
I'm pretty sure I did this the hard way. The right hand controls were pretty easy but the left were a P.I.T.A. I didn't want to cut into the wiring so I wrapped them all as tight as I could together and lubed them up. I dropped a string with a nut on the end through the bars as a guide wire but they still managed to get stuck. By the time they came out the other side the were really destroyed. I was able to get them all hooked up though! I really like the results.
Heres a shot of the bike when I first got it a LONG time ago

Nice looking bike!
I can definetley see how those bars would be a PITA to thread the wires through!
Those are some mighty sharp turns to work around.
How many beers did you say it took?
I'm guessing more then six and "maybe" less then 12.

Only a couple of beers, I have a rule not to drink too many while Im working on the bike. If I have too many then I tend to use the hammer and pliers too much with the mentality that if it doesnt turn just push harder.

What i used to string wires in my bars:
Take some small utility wire, stiff but flexible.
Thread on the bullet connectors
Route through!
Took me about 10 mins.....
