1979 CB750 front brake caliper pistons????
« on: June 07, 2010, 01:51:21 AM »
I know my post count isn't anywhere close to 100, but hopefully someone will still help me out. Anyways I bought a front end from a 1979 CB750 for $100 shipped. I thought I had found a great, cheap way to do a duel disk conversion on my '72 cb750, but when I took the calipers apart (grease gun method is awesome btw) I found one of the pistons to be pretty rusty and pitted and the other to only be slightly pitted. So I've been looking and for a caliper piston that will work with this caliper but I haven't been able to find anything for less the $75.00 + shipping. Does anyone know where I can pick 1, maybe 2 up from a far more reasonable price?
1972 CB750K, with lots of F-model parts... SOLD

Have you tried Dave Silver

Do a search for "Phenolic Brake Piston".
Kevin from this site sells them and they are just great.
I just purchased two for my 550 and am very happy with the quality and speed of delivery.

Good luck.
