Weekend run Down Under (image heavy)

"Outlaw Biker Gang Swarms on Rural Pubs", not quite, mostly middle aged bikers having a good day out.

About 80-90 bikers met to do the annual 'Longleys' Run', organised by Christchurch long-time rider and personality Steven Longley. Promoted as short rides, long stops. Steve puts on a T-shirt, badge, finger food at all the stops and a band and a barbeque at the last pub for $30 NZ all up. Now that is value for money!

This was a fantastic day out for me. I got to meet some great people, swapped plenty of e-mail contacts, had a lot of laughs...Plus, I get to post some gratuitous shots of my K0.

Thanks for your comment Martini, it's not bad for a 36 year old piece of machinery...Cheers     :)

Next November there is another run up in the hills called Sid's Run, named after the organiser Sid Faulkner.

It is for vintage step thru's and mopeds. I'm thinking, that's for me, I'll get a Zundap 50 and have some fun with it.

Searched the local auction forum and came up with this strangely beautiful art deco looking cycle...it's sitting on $2000 NZ ($1355 US) and 21 bids on it.

I have obviously missed the boat somewhere along the way, the old Zundap used to be the focus of huge laughter and derision when I was a lad but now, I really, really want one.
