Ernie, You nailed it. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, and after reading your post it was clear the fairing was a bit out of place. I should have known you would have an eye for it, with all the great vintage pics you put on the Bikes and Babes thread.
I have the original front fender in a safe place and the one I drilled wasn't perfect to begin with, so it's no biggie if I get tired of the slicer. Being so hot out I wanted to go without the fairing until it cools off anyway. So I took the fairing off and remounted the front turn signals, then took it out for a spin. Found a vacant car lot and snapped a few shots. I like it like this I like the fairing, so I'll probably put it and the original fender back on in the cooler months.
