Jim, I got a few years on ya. One of the things I learned over the years is that sometimes, "I'm not really wanting to buy one....but I wouldn't mind a test ride!" ;) :D

Wow, this thread is really gonna get some hits now!  ;D

Took a look down a westbound road
right away I made my choice
Headed out to my big two-wheeler
I was tired of my own voice
Took a bead on the northern plains
and just rolled that power on

Twelve hours out of Mackinaw City
stopped in a bar to have a brew
Met a girl and we had a few drinks
and I told her what I'd decided to do
She looked out the window a long long moment
then she looked into my eyes
She didn't have to say a thing,
I knew what she was thinkin'

Roll, roll me away
Won't you roll me away tonight?
I too am lost, I feel double-crossed
and I'm sick of what's
wrong and what's right

We never even said a word
We just walked out and got on that bike
And we rolled
And we rolled clean out of sight

We rolled across the high plains
deep into the mountains
Felt so good to me
finally feelin' free

Somewhere along a high road
the air began to turn cold
She said she missed her home
I headed on alone

Roll Me away-Bob Seger

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Test rides have nothing to do with "dating" . 2 totally different concepts  ;)

Well, after thinking about it a while, I've decided that Jim has set higher standards for himself than I used to have. :-\ Mine are better now that I'm old and married! :'(

But that was still one heck of a cruise! My hat is off to ya Jim! 8)

I do love milk...

I'm having motorcycle trip withdrawls. There's just something unreal about hours alone on the road that regular life can't compare to. I know it's harder, and less comfortable, but like people have said; you don't really remember the bad times in the same way that you remember the good. And, I think, each time I take a long ride I'll learn something that will help me on the next. Like not letting a chance for some company slip through my fingers.
