Topic: brake line #2

OK I answered my own question I had before but now I have a new one. I stil want to replace my line. Now My brake line is like the rest of the K models. It has the line connected to a steel tube that goes to the caliper.

How would I connect the new line to that tube, or can I remove that completely and use a short banjo bolt?

I would like to get rid of the tube and just have the line go from the master to the caliper.

Why can't you just replace the entire line, from master to caliper  ?
Go to any V-Twin shop , and they will have all the Goodridge brake parts you could need
to make up your own brake line, fittings and all...

My stock caliper has that stupid hard line on there as well.
I plan to replace with all stainless once my dual-disc setup goes on the bike..

Well I am actually working with helusa right now to do it and it wil only cost me $50 for everything. Could not even do it myself for that price.

I mainly need to know what will fit in that hole.

You can either use a shortened banjo bolt with a banjo fitting or there is an adaptor from M10 to the goodrich thread and then a "swivel elbow" that goes on the end of the pipe. I have both and make my own lines up. If you email me with your address i can send you a document with some pictures in

The only problem that you'll have ay the V-Twin shop is when it comes to getting a connection that will fit into the caliper. They'll look at you funny or laugh when you mention either "honda" or "Metric." At least that was my expeirience.

Thats couse most of the mechanics in Vtwin shops are not good enough to work on a honda!

Just send HEL USA your old brake lines and they will turn around a new set in a couple of days or so.  I went through them and they matched all of the fittings/length perfectly.  Check the results here:

If you go direct from  the frontbrake cylinder and down to the caliper white new brake lines  !
Hope you don`t forget the the front brake light switch that sits`s under the front light on some models

Good point ! I plan on running a new-style master with that nifty little switch to get rid of the stock unit.
