I think there are 750 brakes in the for sale section. Those are helpful.

The paint looks great. Is that a repainted tank?

Is there a tail light built in?

I'm not so sure that building a new seat and rear cowl really makes it a 'cafe' ....lol

Aw come on gents, custom fabrication is custom fabrication.  Lets see if it evolves further.

I'm curious what type of welding you used?
And how does it ride, plenty of leverage with those bars eh?

yeah, it has a taillight tucket up under the back off of a cbr1000rr.
the whole seat was mig welded. the seat itself is made of 20gauge.
and its pretty comfy, and the bars do give it pretty good handling!!
ill put a couple pics up later, you should see what it used to look like  :-X

and thanks for the comments guys

That's one knarley seat!...very cool! But now you have to do the tank too...maybe someday eh!?  (that's my Canadian voice)  I actually really dig the checkerplate look.... if you could cover the tank...or make a tank from the stuff too dunstall style... it'd be a crazy unique....personalized & rad bike.   Run with it man! Looks good.
Cheers!

Whats the MFG date on the head stock?? All 76 750's were the candy antaris red, not blue. So either a refit of older tank, or holdover older bike titled as a 76. Eitherway, nice tank and covers. I've not seen many blue ones at all, fairly rare color me thinks.

What kind of h bars are those? with the cross brace they look like dirt bike bars.

they are motorcross bars... htey were cheap through my job. as far as i know its an original tank, i got the bike free a couple years back with no title, so i got it titled by the state. and personally i love the blue color!

Not being a downer but---------Check the serial numbers on the engine and the build date on the frame and its pretty obvious that unless retro fitted its a 75 in Planet Blue, kind of a hard to find color. After looking at the before I think I would have taken it back to stock. You were a couple of fork tubes and a seat away and some pipes if you got lucky.Worth more in a stock configuration.

its all the cafe i could afford at the time... ive put a bunch of free time and money into it, so its what ai could do.  plus to me a cafe is a cafe in one's own eyes. i love it,,, it has a semi aggressive seating position. ill have to look at thge serial numbers later... the engine numbers are all its got, so ill see what they say.

I think as long as YOU like it, that's all that should matter.

I'm building my bike to ride. Not for other people to ride, or to look at. I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks of any of my project vehicles.

Ride it. Enjoy it. Continue to build it.

I think there was a thread just recently on that. One suggestion was no blue ones went through the busy shops, and that more of them are Japan or grey market.

Also, MFG date can be different than title commonly.

Look like dirt bike bars, run what ya brung.
