FWIW
Clean those fuse clips (holderss) with a .22 Caliber bore brush.
Cheap at K-Mart, etc. Works PERFECTLY! Slip the brush into both of a pair of clips and spin it back & forth with thumb and finger. Quick, easy, shines the clips like new. No possible damage to the clips.

It is amazing (to me) how a little corrosion on the fuse clips can cause major problems. I didn't know it til TooTired made me aware of it. Same applies to corroded (ALL) connectors. Now, I'm a believer!
Cleaning and some dielectic grease solved my problem/s on the '77 550 - all at the advice of the good folks on this Forum.
I still hate wiring!
