PLEASE MOVE TO OTHER BIKES: Make scrambler out my CB750
« Reply #26 on: November 08, 2010, 12:48:48 PM »
So I have the 80' cb750.  So far, a set of drag handle bars(look like old mx bars without crossbar), small tank from older cb 125.  next move is increase wheel size on rear, and tires for both with aggressive dual sport tread. don't know if I will put the airbox back in, sounds like it would be easier to maintain, but would like to lose the weight.  buying a cold steel rolled fat rear fender, going to chop short and put a smaller dualsport light and plate kit.  get some pics once I start doing some work.  I am a hack, so the idea is the only thing going for this project.

Kmob36,  Your 80' is a DOHC.  Nice bikes, but not an SOHC.  Future posts should go in the Other Bikes or Projects section.  While a bunch of the guys here are very motorcycle savy, you will probably get more precise DOHC information at a dedicated site, just like this one for SOHC's.

This is a good one you may want to subscribe to as well.

and just as a technical point...drag bars are flat, no rise, just a slight pullback to differentiate them from a straight piece of pipe....don't know what you have, but if they look like they could have a cross piece, they're not drag bars....
