Nice work godffery and Johnny I really like the way this 350 is coming along.

.: Scott :.

Thanks! Although, to be fair, I can't take credit for any of the wrenching. Godffery took some ideas I had and ran with it - far exceeding my initial expectations.
Now, if it would only warm up here in Chicago!
Bah.. Don't worry about it warming up. I was out in 16 degree weather riding my brothers R6. You just need to be dressed for it.. oh and watch the salt in the road it tends to make your tires slide!
I gave you credit because you had a clear vision and I like what your ideas have produced. Don't sell your self short on that. I gave Godffery credit for his ideas and wrenching skills..
You both produced a really NICE 350.. Can't wait to see the final product...If you are in the city boy will that be a nice thing to drive around, much better then a car or taking a cab or bus..

.: Scott :.

I just noticed from the location in your profile that you and Godffery are practically neighbors! I've drove through Paddock Lake a fw times to visit Godffery. Cool!

Hey Gnat- goood to see the progress on your project. That thing gleams. Goood to see new posts.

I thought I'd chime in on your questions about fairings 'cuz I saw one on e-bay the other day that looked cool and was reasonably priced,  ($59.00 if I remember correct) and new.
Searched through nearly 30,000 items and it might have found it- could  have been  this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cafe-Fairing-Black-kz440-kz400-h2-h1-s2-s3-kh500-triple-/360332676548?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53e5804dc4

Or I also found nos Shoei's  but Superior's stuff varies in price for arbitrary reasons, and the black one has been bid on...

Shoot me an email at dbblau@yahoo.com for a price for the seat you designed as is.  I am cleaning the frame and planning on cutting off the seat tabs....etc.  I really like your work... beautiful. ;D

if you're in the business of making fiberglass cafe seats for 350F/400F's, I could be a customer. I'm having a hell of a time making one for my bike and am at the point where I really should pay someone that knows what they're doing.

I could make one out of my current mold for $100 but it's not totally smooth and would require some filler and sanding before it would be ready for paint.  If you'd like it paint ready, I could do that prep for an additional $25.

Done (for now)!

Godffery installed an LED on the right side to serve as an ignition light. My friend Dean designed the gauge face based on an idea I had.

Godffery really did an incredible job on this build and exceeded my initial expectations!
Now I just have to endure the torture of waiting for this Chicago winter to be done so I can get it out on the road!

A few better photos.
Just waiting for the snow to disappear...

Lastly, although it's difficult to see from the photo, that's a Japanese coin from 1974 (the same year as the bike) on the center nut.

This event was a blast (in spite of the rain). Folks loved the bike! Godffery, you should be proud.

Thanks! Although, the fairing on the bike was a cheap eBay find.
I'd suggest something from these guys:
http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/vintage/vintagefairings.htm
MUCH better quality. I'm in the process of having one of their fairings, along with an extra set of side covers and a tank, painted black with a white stripe. Then I can swap them out when I get bored and "trick" myself into thinking it's a new bike.
