From a PM I exchanged with Brooze72, it appears that he intends to ride down from his pick-up at Coboconk heading across the Argyl road to #12 at Beaverton.  This is a 4-way stoplight and has a Petro\Can station and a Tim's at the north-east corner.  I would propose we plan a meet-up there (at Tim's) at 4:00.  The town of Brechin is about 6-8 miles north on hyw #12 from there, so it would be in the opposite direction to heading back to TO.

Excellent Hondanut thanks!
Buk_tony and I are setting out from Victoria at 12:30 and hope to meet you all at the agreed Timmy's at about 4pm (if we can figure out how to do that!?) I've PM'd you my phone number.

Have fun today guys! Please let me know any new riders that have not registered. I'd like to have as many participants on the Master Rider/Participantb List as possible. Brand X riders are to be included as participants also. PM's preferred as that keeps me from having to chase down new names. Thanks. Rock n Roll Big G.

An update regarding today, so far:  We met-up at Tim's at the prescribed time but the lizard was running late. :'(  Brooze72 came back from Coboconk as he had heard that the relay from Algonquin was way behind, so he came on down to meet me, Cookindaddy, and Buk-tony who already had been standing-by to greet this celebrity.  Unfortunately, the other two had to ride home and hope to catch the parade tomorrow in the big city.  When Brooze72 left to make his appointed rendezvous in Coboconk, I headed home again (...got a steak to BBQ and I ain't gonna share with no lizard :P)  Anyways, hope he shows up later at my place on his way down to the big city for the night.  (Maybe I'll save him a bite after all. ;))

Here's a picture of the other three SOHC riders waiting for the famous mascot.  (P.S. Thanks Tony for the ice Timmy - we owe you one.)

The lizard made it over to my place but all the steak was gone. :P  Bruce and Rob had a chance to see my other rides while Godzilla kept the wife company.  Then he was off to Pickering for a night with Bruce; getting rested for the sights of the big city tomorrow.  My CB350-F had a chance to carry him for about the first 8 miles.

Thanks for dropping by guys.  So long little guy! :-*  Keep safe and out of trouble. :)

As HondanutRider posted, I picked up Godzilla from Strawhouse around 7PM & then headed back to his place (HondanutRider) for a quick visit & see his collection of bikes.  I can just say wow!  Great stuff.

Hey Toronto dudes & Wohali, a few have expressed interest in meeting up on Sunday to show GZ some sights.  I have a mid afternoon thing going on that day so I would love to start out in the AM.  Can we meet in a central location, eg: Bremner St in front of the CN/Skydome or City Hall, something like that?  Then do a tour to a few spots? Bring tour suggestions & post or PM if you're coming so we can wait for you!

OK an update on tomorrow, oops later today, sorry it was a long one but GZ is here in the GTA!! So haven't heard any suggestions or ideas for a meet up but I know some of you want to greet the lizard.  Knowing there's a Blue Jay game tomorrow, I don't think we should go in that area until after it starts (1PM).  There is an LCBO parking lot 2 short blocks east of Yonge St right on Queen's Quay, right on the lake edge.  I propose a meet there at 11:30, followed by a short blab & then downtown tour.  We will pick the route & photo stops at that point with all members present & go.  I'll PM this message to everyone that has shown interest.  If your not there by noon, the Lizard will be hot & angry!

I was part of the wait for the lizard at Beaverton but unfortunately couldn't wait long enough for him to arrive. Still, I had a great ride with buk_tony about 100 miles to the meetup and we had all a pleasant hour and a half in a little bit of shade talking bikes and checking out each other's rides. It was great to meet hondanutrider and brooze72 and the two other riders (Bob and ?) who came along for the day.

Had a great ride up to Algonquin Park to meet up with Larecords and his buddy's, great bunch of guys!  After doing the exchange I then headed south solo with GZ to meet up with Brooze at Coboconk.  Brooze was riding a really nice CB that only ended up making me think about getting another CB the whole ride home.  All in all it was a great ride on a beautiful day in the heart of Ontario.  It would have been fun to have met up with the rest of the guys that were waiting at Brechin.  Maybe next time, or maybe a group ride at some point.

Brought back memories of camping and portaging up through the area... first time I saw the northrn light back in 1975! Was riding a 350 and a 500 Kawasaki back then.

Well we couldn't have picked a hotter day to do the downtown Toronto tour, 35C!  I had DivineD (my wife Deb) on the pillion seat & we cruised down to the lake front & met up with Wohali (Joan), no other riders showed up so we did a mini tour to the outer harbour, Princess Gates at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) grounds that hosts an annual fair that runs every August since 1879, Queens Park the seat of the Provincial government, University of Toronto grounds, SkyDome (Jays lost to Yanks today, boohoo) & CN Tower.  Whew, a serious thirst was built today.

Here's a trivia question for you:  Who directed the first Godzilla movie of 1954?

Did any of us know this when we voted for Godzilla as our Relay mascot?   ( I confess I had to look it up)

Honda is a common surname in Japan (I had to look that up) so it is probably a coincidence but a fitting one. No indication I can find that Ishirō Honda (1954 Godzilla director) is a relative of our Sōichirō Honda (founder of Honda Motor Co., Ltd.)

OK abit late but still good ! :P here are the pics of the hand-off between Larecords and Me.

The rode on friday ,15th. Boswell was suppose to be there but called in sick and was very disappointed. I had amazing weather , hot all along from Montreal to Ottawa.
I took the 50 and 148 and was cop free all the way. Met Larry at the Lac-Leamy Casino and took pics. I was happy to give him the burden of the book and banner but sad to see Godzilla go. Wrote my last few words and km in the book and of we were to take some great pics in our capital.
At the Lake-Leamy Casino

Strapping him down and Larry's nice patches.

At the National gallery of Ottawa.

At the Parliament.

Met some friends !

At the National war memorial ,with 2 guard on duty in 30 degree heat.

Had an amazing day and met a great guy ! To bad Boswell couldn't be there but will do it again next year !
Thanks to all who made this possible !

Here's all the album.

Hey Cookindaddy

Godzilla is hanging out with Wohali in Toronto, Pickering was just too small for the Lizard, (he saw it all on Monday).  On Friday, myself, Curveball & maybe Bobbofresh will head down to Wohali's place in the AM.  Then we will all convoy down to Niagara Falls to meet up with Tripps, possibly at the Skylon Tower, noonish, so that he & Wohali have time to get to Windsor before dark (assuming her bike runs OK on the way to the Falls).  The rest of us will head home.  Can you join us anywhere enroute?

A few more pics too. How do I make them bigger in the body of the post?
