I am thinking about getting this ...

until then though,

its super warm and comfortable. Its xelement. but I cant really tell a difference from my old joe rocket. I've also seen one that was the same jacket re-branded for about $250.... also im a cheapskate.

it comes in red and this color. http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Motorcycle-Jackets/Xelement-CF-624-Armored-Race-Motorcycle-Jacket/115632.html I got the yellow to try and be more visible. It would be cooler with some reflective piping.

I am very happy with the jacket. price and warmth and fit are all really nice. I am 6'2" 165 and the medium fits me perfect. it has plenty of pockets and a zip out liner. Ive worn it in 40 degree weather and wasnt shivering.

I originally had this one but it was a little too big and made me look like batman but not as scary. http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Motorcycle-Jackets/Xelement-Mens-Black-and-Gray-Level-3-Armored-Jacket-with-Removable-Arm-Sleeves-and-Tri-Tex-Fabric/64175.html

anyway the quality and price are good. I am thinking about picking up a leather one by the same company.

I like the Monterey, mainly because it's different, but I'm also really leaning toward this on but with only one Honda patch (kinda feel like you gotta earn a patch)

My biggest problem is finding a company that actually provides long sizes. I hear about them, but when I go to the respected sites to order, long sizes are not listed. And when I have tried on the products in the stores, the "normal" XL jackets fit fine until I place my arms out front as I would riding. Then the sleeve pulls way back. So if anyone really knows of companies that do offer long sizes, please provide info.

Schott Perfecto 118 and Vanson Comet. My understanding is a lot of distributors are dropping Vanson due to quality issues and lousy customer service. I haven't checked here locally, but I've heard thru other forums that there are some deals to be had on outgoing Vanson stock.

Sure,if you got 600 bucks to spend.I love the Vanson and the Schott.Unfortunately I grew out of my old Buco cafe jacket,AND my Belstaff trialmaster,so I replaced my Trialmaster with practically the same jacket from Kakadu in Australia,Same style but only $100 bucks new,I sold my ratty old Belstaff for $300,my Buco for $800(crazy,I know)Bought two brand new jackets for $250 and had myself all that extra money. My leather is a Power trip gasolina, armor, vents, liner,Nicely made for dirt cheap,$50 closeout.

I found this jacket and bought it last night for 110 shipped Jamin Leathers.  This the jacket Mike Woulfe uses for his Dime City Cafe jacket but without all of Mike's beautiful patch work.

For nearly 20 years, I've been wearing a Hein Gericke leather jacket.  No frills, no chrome, etc.  Just two vertical vent zippers on either side of the main zipper and two vertical vent zippers up the back.  Snap-in liner.  Very satisfied, but I've put on quite a bit of weight since I first bought it...  sigh.

Then, I recently got a Firstgear Kilimanjaro jacket thrown in with a bike I bought.  It has moved right to the top of my jacket list.  Weatherproof, 3/4 length, jacket/liner, removable shoulder, elbow and spine armour, tons of velcro- and zipper-closed pockets.  First rate!  Not sure if I'd pony up the $$$ to buy one new, but I'm sure glad the seller threw it in with the bike!  :)

Hey Bart, what was that jacket you were wearing when you came down for the Mercer Island meet? I remember liking it. It had a quilted patern on the shoulders and elbows.

This is what I got, only brando style I could find with shoulder and elbow armour. Very heavy and thick leather too.

it was the Power Trip Gasolina.Real nice cut, quilted shoulder, removable liner, back protector, vents,Nice details, all for $50 closeout.I just have to break it in some more.I really wanted a vanson or a langlitz, but I couldnt justify $600 when I got the Power Trip for $50.Sure it not as cool, but its a nice jacket nonetheless.
