it pain"me a bit that you cut  that brown 550 dovn..in denmark there is no more of the origenal 550 back..i have used 2 years to rebuild my...but ok its an free world..hope yoy sell the parts to an beliwer of facktry looks..and have an nice build..think ve must have an meting this summer..i kome anyvay to hønefoss this summer

Hi strynboen, if you would like to buy the bike before i start working on it - we can probably make a deal, i can get another "donor". I understand that others have feelings for the originals, but unfortunatly my passion are more on the customized side.
But on the other side, i guess you could get a nice original from UK or Germany (both my bikes are imported).
Hønefoss isnt that far away from me (about one hour), so that could be possible :)

Btw: the shop i got them from has other bikes that you might be interested in...and new bikes are added all the time as far as i know. I got mine for 13.000 and 15.000 nok, something i can live with, even though they are considered as projects.

This 750 was added for sale after i got the two 550`s, and im counting buttons .... looks pretty nice from the pics:

I actually bought this one, and it was delivered this morning :) My first bike ever. Super excited to get started with the restoration. Will be put back to original condition.

henrikm: Congrats!!  :D
How do you like the bike? It looks real good in the picture...

(strynboen; din video kan ikke vises)

I finally got some work done today (and a couple of kilometers on the road :) )
The loop arrived today! And i had it cut to correct length, and welded it in place. I need to do some finish work with the grinder and some detail welding, but its there at least. So, tomorrow i can start working on the seatpan... should be pretty straight forward. Here is some pics:

Thank you sir :) the bike runs great and is generally in good condition..  Looking forward to riding it next season. I'm going to spend this summer redoing my workshop and setting everything up for the restoration next winter.
I've also got dibs on a 75 550 for a cafe racer project!

Your build is looking great, looking forward to seeing the bike when finished.

Hvor i Norge holder du til?

henrikm: Congrats!!  :D

Not to butt in, but look up "Polly pan gel seat kit" but I'll bet he used steel..

I dread the day I have to wire my 500.... Newly named "dirty little whore" ...... The idea of just a whole new home made harness is almost better then dissecting the old "rats nest"

Good Luck :o

Its best to make a new one, at least if youre going the route i am...to remove almost everything :)
But now i really need some input.... Is there any company that make custom tripple trees for these bikes??
