My (Late) Introduction From Wisconsin
« on: February 05, 2011, 10:43:28 PM »
Well, just realized I never formally introduced myself here, been around for awhile.  (A year maybe? somewhere close to)  Anyway, I would like to say I Love the people on this forum, great placed, helped me out of many sticky situations.  I own quite a few bikes, my main two being my first bike, about 2 years ago, a 1974 CB360.  and my newer, 1 year old addition a 73 750.  Well, a little about myself.  I have been into fixing things as long as I can remember.  and love old vehicles.  my first (and so far only) car, is an 1982 Toyota corolla, put tons of stuff into that, repainted it myself (the stock color.. brown..)  full rebuild/cam/valvesprings on the engine. full exhaust I welded up myself.  then as soon as my parents let me get a bike (I know, I'm a youngin)  got my 360, and got that running and looking nice.  around 10k miles on that since purchase 2 years ago.  bought and sold several other bikes since then, including a '64 CB160 (sold on ebay)  and a CA160, which I am keeping.  then got my 73' CB750, and for the last year have been riding it and rebuilding it, several times, until its perfect.  (Waiting for spring for the hopefully final break in ride).  Now for some pictures, because we all love them.  Oh, and I'm from Madison, WI, going to UW-Madison

First up, my CB360 at the badger ferry across Lake Michigan, on my trip with the 360 to upper Michigan.

Next up, a photo of the 360 when I got it, after some work and cleanup:

My Corolla:

My very awesome CA160 (1968)

My 750 when purchased, next to my 360.  found out later that tank had holes in it..  so so sad.

And the best current picture I have of it..

Thanks for reading this, it was rather long winded for me.  And thanks for this community!!

Sam

Thats nice CB360. I bought one new in 74 my jr. year in high school. Mine was blue. Really like that little bike. Made the mistake of letting my best friend ride it. He returned it wrecked. He got it repair, but to me the bike never quite seemed the same. I traded in on a 1976 CB550. Great bike, now that one I wish I had held on to.

Welcome from Oshkosh. Nice projects you have there. I'm surprised you can still get parts for a toyota that old.

Thanks!
Getting parts isn't as bad as you would think.  Toyota still stocks a good number.  and there a a few custom shops that actually specialize in old toyota's.  people in cali like to race them, or mod them.  Love the car though,  small and fun, and almost as easy to work on as my 750.
