Progressive Shock Upgrade

Hi all.
Anyone done a Progressive shock install. So I really need a spring compressor to get these put on? Any pitfalls I should look out for, or is this as straight forward as I think?
Thanks again my Jedi Masters
Sincerely, Young Padawan

I've done a Progressive shock/spring install and you won't need a spring compressor. The springs are only about 1/8" longer than the shock. Just put the hood on over the spring and then push down and slide lock cap on. Took me about 6 minutes to put both my Progressive 12 Series and springs together. This was on a 550, but the 550/750 use the same 12 Series part number. You'll probably want to look into Progressive fork springs once you do the shocks. On mine after I replace the shocks I noticed how sloppy the stock springs were and ordered the fork springs the next day.
Good luck. It truly change the entire riding experience.

Thanks Chris, I will get the front springs ordered up. Good advice, as always.
