Man I hear ya! I'm supposed to teach a friend how to blacksmith if I can get a sunny weekend day, but the clouds have just been mocking us for like 3 weeks now. It's freakin' ridiculous.

;DNot to gloat or anything but the SF Bay Area has just been ridiculously pleasant all year. Even when we got a month and a half of rain last Nov. I only had to break out the rain gear a few times.  ;D
So much to do, so little time.

I'm swamped with school work and my bike isn't back together yet (putting clipons and new carb boots on) so today mocked me. I made it pay by working on the bike until now.

Sun is over rated. Thats why I live in Seattle, work nights and sleep during the day. Oh wait... and because I don't have seniority to hold another shift.

My son doesn't live with me so if I moved now I'd never see. Yes, I know there are ways but his mother is hard enough to deal with already and we live close.

I like this place, carpenters get paid well and it rains less than half of the days as it does up here. That calculates into about 280 days a year of dry riding instead of 90 days if we're lucky.

Don't knock the whole PNW. I live in Albany Oregon and to keep both bikes exercised I ride almost every day. Sometimes just far enough to get the oil warmed up good but I'm out riding. You will get tired of the crowded roads and brown scenery to the south real fast. Learn to dance in the rain.

Looks great!  I lived in Chico, CA for a year and loved the weather.  Wore sunglasses every day I was there and put up the Christmas lights in shorts.  Quick drive to Tahoe for the snow.

I hear ya about the kid, I couldn't imagine not seeing my girls.

Dudes! This is supposed to be our secret that the rest of the world shall never know about! Sun in the PNW is unheard of it never happened.

I have noticed a lot of 2 wheelers out the last two days. Makes me jealous my ride is being worked on.

I completely remember the this happening to me when I lived there. I worked graveyard shift and missed most of the sunny days to ride on. Rain on the way to and from work, then sun when I slept.

My kids and I will be returning there someday, and we'll all be riding together.

Gotta +1 to Santa Rosa tho...it's close enough to the coast to not be as brown as a lot of places, great roads, close to the ocean, close to the Napa valley wine country, not far from SF if you like those sorts of amusements, pretty much the only thing wrong with it is the same thing thats wrong with the rest of the state....the screwed up people running the show. For example..don't know if they passed it, but they were trying to make it illegal to sell parts out of a wrecking yard for cars more than 10 yrs old. Personally, I don't have anything newer than 20yrs old, and car registration fees border on insanity.....But all that slides to the back of your mind when your blastin down those country roads in the Marin/Mendicino area..
Really foggy here in Ptown today, but it's burnin off..hmmmm..ride to the mountain? up the gorge?? out to the coast??..hhmmmmmmm

Well, to put things in perspective. PNW not so much sun,and some rain: midwest, my driveway is a 30foot ice slide and has been for some time now. I'll trade anyday.

Wow that would be a switch: people moving back to California? Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana. Colorado, New Mexico we all thank you! I guess now that the cost of living has settled down a bit, thanks to the recession, California will be the new hot spot.
