hey guys. i pulled out the oil filter i have for my build and i'm thinking of making a mount for it that will bolt up to the stock horn location. i would like some advice from those of you that have done it or are just better with metal working than i am. i'm going to clean it up and repaint it with some radiator paint.
i was thinking of just popping a couple holes in a sheet of aluminum and bolt this to the horn mount. then bend the plate so it will allow the cooler to clear the frame since the mounts are in the middle. either this or run a spacer and some longer bolts through the cooler mounts to push it off t he plate and give it ample room from the frame. i'll have to throw the triple trees on there before anything is final, but i just wanted to see what everyones thoughts were. i've also considered trying to get it to lay as flat to the frame as i can so it's not sticking out so much.
it does look a little awkward right under the neck, as it's quite a large, albeit effective, oil cooler... thoughts??
