what yr motor in a 74 frame

what year cb 750 motors will fit in a 74 frame? i have a tip on a 78 and an 80 cb750 motor, and an 83 cb900f. i wish the 900 motor would fit.

Depends on what you mean by "fit".  If you're looking for something that will bolt right in without modification to the frame, stick to the sohc4 engines.

Yep Gordon's correct they all can fit just depends on how much you want to make it happen. But I think it will look and sound better with a SOHC4 that is why I am on this site ;)

The '78 motor will bolt right in. [Last year of he SOHC]

The engine will drop in but... I think there is an alignment of the sprockets issue. Also the final drive of the engine is set up for a 630 chain abnd the rr sprocket is a 530 chain. I know this can be worked around but it takes a lttle effort and some parts.
