Yoshi exhaust
« on: March 27, 2011, 01:17:13 AM »
I've never seen this Yoshi tag before. Is there something special about this exhaust? Also, when I pull the baffle, is it repackable?  I dont want a super loud pipe.

Thanks.

hmm that's a good question from my eyes it doesn't look like a Yoshi pipe...always thought the Yoshi was all one part with a round bend in the header..

might be possible someone got a Yoshi plate made for there exhaust but I'm sure someone will chime in at some point.

I'll take a couple better pics and post them tomorrow.  It does have a bolt to secure the baffle and it has a seam that I think will separate the header if I twist and pull on it.   The yoshi plate looks as old as the hills and appears it's been there a long time. Thanks and I'd really like to know more.

Ok. Late 80's makes sense. Thanks for the info.  No need to load more pictures.  Can anyone tell me what to expect for loudness? Is the removable baffle something that can or should be repacked?  I'm currently running a stock engine and just want an around town bike- no racing- so I assume this will be as good of exhaust as any (the PO gave it to me).  This bike isn't going to be a stocker so original pipes are of no interest.

I've got city police to worry about as well as a wife whose "stink eye" is scarier than any noise ticket the cops can write me.... she's bought a bike to become my riding buddy and I've already been warned about a loud pipe.. so before I invest a bunch of cash refinishing this thing... can anyone give me an idea what to expect??   ???

Thanks
