Who sells chrome gauge covers for my CB750?
« on: January 10, 2011, 01:45:15 PM »
I had CRC2 bookmarked to buy their chrome gauge covers for my CB750 cafe project, but now they are sold out of them!  Does anyone else carry these?  I can't even find them on ebay!   :(
It took 10 years but she's finally done!

CycleExchange has them.. Last I checked was $16.95 for the pair.

It's some where in there. Their website is hard to navigate.

I just looked on CycleExchange but couldn't find them.  That site is awful, with no way to perform a search.

I agree, I just looked again and couldnt find them, you may just have to call them tomorrow. They are the only ones I have found for a decent price.

FYI... There are two types: those with a hole for the side-mounted odometer button and those for the rear-mounted. Not sure about now, but the ones without the side hole were impossible to find the last time I looked. RR

Mathew at TAS Motorsports is checking to see when he can get a set for me.  I've bought from TAS before and they are one of my favorite mom & pop joints around.  I'll post the price and turnaround time when he gets back to me.

Well, back to the Cycle X site - they show chrome plating for the tach and speedo covers for $36.  That seems to be a reasonable option if you don't mind taking apart your gauges.

Here are my CB550 gauges mounted on my CB750 with the chrome gauge covers from Charles Place.  They are a perfect fit and a breeze to install.  The clamp replaces the ring that you have to pry off in order to open the gauges up, so that made it even easier!  There is a hole on the side of one presumably for the trip reset.  I just turned it until the hole was on the bottom.  No one will ever see it.
